Hi I'm  Hillary

I love being active. I decided to go back to school at 60 and get my Strength Training and Conditioning Certification so that I could share my passion and knowledge of fitness  with others.

About Me.

As someone who has always been active, I know the importance and the benefits that come from strength training and conditioning. In my youth I was very active in my equestrian pursuits. Then motherhood came into the picture and it was harder to fit in consistent training. Keeping up with active children and now grandchildren I know that it is important to find balance. The balance of  life in general and literally balance! Strength training can do both, it's good for your mental health during those crazy busy times and it gives you stability to prevent falls (particularly important as we get older).

I started strength training when my children started school but consistency was a challenge. So I understand how hard it is to fit training into your daily life. It wasn't until I retired that I really started to focus on what strength training could do for me. It makes me resilient, keeps me mobile, and makes everyday movements easier. In addition to strength training I participate in spin classes, yoga and Zumba. I still ride horses and strength training has improved my riding.
